BACKGROUND.

As an advertising art director for many years, I learned to work conceptually with images and copy to sell products in print and television media. Along the way, I began to develop my own style of art using these skills to tell my own story. Often my work takes on the look of a storyboard or uses words and poetry to enhance the imagery. My style of art evolved from the use of markers that I discovered could transfer images onto paper. Building on these unforeseen accidents, I have stumbled across some unusual techniques that occurred in production process. For instance, the images in Slovakian Trilogy featured below are photographs that were printed accidentally on the wrong side of the photo paper. The blurred ink gave a watercolor effect that was startling.
